Julep (and Derby) were so excited when Aunt Debby walked in the door.
She came to help create and sew
. . . Bandanna's for Rescued Paws . . .
The purpose . . . is to donate bandanna's to any rescue organization (that sends me a request). They may be used for fund raising efforts or put on a rescue before going to their forever home.
A small sample of completed work.
There are 80 bandanna's ready to be divided up & sent to the following rescue organizations:
^^ Westie Rescue of Orange County, California ^^
^^ Westie Rescue Southeast, Tennessee ^^
^^ Westies in Need Rescue, Ontario, Canada ^^
^^ Westie Rescue, Alberta, Canada ^^
I have to give credit were credit is due, Debby did all the sewing.
I was in charge of pinning the pattern, cutting the fabric, then after it was sewn together I would press open the seams, flip it (since it was sewn printed sides together), then back to the sewing machine for the final closing stitches along the top.
Julep at the end of the day.
We started at 9:30 and finished at 5:30pm. It was a long, but fun day.
