Longwood Gardens

With the westies at the groomers we were off to Longwood Gardens with camera's in hand.  The 4-acre conservatory had thousands of blooming orchids that draped the walls, flowed from pedestals, and were fashioned into curtains!  The Orchid Extravaganza blooms in 20 rooms!

The seasonal menu highlights local fruits, vegetables and meats .. plus we love the Parker House rolls which are served in little planter pots.
Wilson and I had an excellent lunch!

Entrance to the East Conservatory
The East Conservatory is a spacious greenhouse that includes a series of intimate and distinctive garden rooms inspired by Moorish, French and Modernist style.  Seasonal highlights include stunning moth orchids in shades of purple displayed in topiaries and featured in the entry's oval basin.
