A Quilted Garden ... Quilt Show ... By Bayside Quilt Guild

Welcome to A Quilted Garden sponsored by the
Bayside Quilters Guild of the Eastern Shore
this is the
Second Quilt Show held in Oxford, Maryland
Wilson & I went to the quilt show reception last night
at the Oxford Community Center to see the quilts.
This was Wilson's first time seeing professionally made
quilts up close and personal and he was very, very impressed.
Hopefully I'll be half as good as the ladies who
took hours and hours to piece these quilts together
that are on display.
The entrance to the quilt show.
Today {Saturday} Oxford is also having a secret garden tour.
All the venue's are actually within walking distance
which makes this a nice event for Oxford.
Hanging above the entrance doorway to
the quilt show as a nice way welcome to all.
Below are the quilts on display.  We didn't see the antique
quilts which are on display at St. Paul's Church.

The gills of the fish are not sewed down
making this interesting for a quilt or wall hanging.

With a lot of windows in the community center
brings in a lot of sun light ... thus some quilts have
sun spots washing out a portion of the quilt.

 One of my favorites!
 Friends Lloyd & JoAnn

I like the way all the colors flow together
to form the center diamond.

A little music during the reception.

Engineering at its best!
What a job several volunteer husbands had to figure
out how to hang the show quilts.

A nice selection of finger foods for all to
enjoy was placed in the center of the room ... but these
strawberries are picture perfect.  I have to wonder if
they came from a local garden.
Wilson & Bob catching up while us ladies studied the quilts.

This quilt is also of my favorites which I will make
my own version of one day {minus all the fancy quilting}.
After the show we headed over to the Robert Morris Inn
for dinner with friends.  It was a very nice evening all around.
Hope you enjoyed seeing the quilt show quilts and
the talents of the ladies from Bayside Quilters.
