Around This Place

 No explanation needed here ...
you know what they are doing and what they are doing it on.

A few days ago I noticed a slight fog drifting over the creek.
If you look closely you will see it.  This was a great opportunity
to grab my camera and snap a few pictures.
I disturbed a heron who was perched on a tree limb above me
He was either resting or waiting to spot his dinner.
I caught Wilson going back to his office.  He's still
not feeling great - still on meds from the cardio doctor
and waiting until he can have his heart 'zapped'
back into a normal beat.  I think I mentioned he
has a-fib and needs to be on meds for 30 days first.
Our peonies have never looked better.
Julep and the fence perimeter check.
We're going to miss this place.

In this picture [and the one below] you will see Julep making
her way into the shade.  She loves to bake in the sun.

One cool thing about living here is you never know
what you're going to spot when you look out the window.
I think this is a black duck on our neighbors piling
a few mornings ago at sun rise.
I'm guessing the air does smell a little different on the other
side of the fence ... or ... Julep just wanted a nose rest.
In any event, have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

  1. Lovely views. Hope Wilson is doing OK. Love peonies but pity they never last that long here as the rain usually ruins them. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
    Best wishes Molly

  2. What a pretty scene in that third picture and the one of the duck is great. Looks like he's praying to the duck gods :)
