Wisteria Lane

The westies love to keep me company in my sewing room.
Derby sleeps under my cutting table and Julep demands that I
stop what I'm doing [because it's 4:00 and that means dinner].
Sweet looking Julep is not so sweet with her demands
and carrying-on for food.  4:00 is serious business for her.
Several guild meetings ago I found this pattern on the
free table so I snatched it up.  It's pretty easy & easy is good
at times when you don't want a complicated block to make.
Here are a few of the beginning blocks.   I decided to combine
the forest owls fat quarter silver fabric with the silver shimmer jelly
roll fabric.  They works perfectly together.  This quilt will be
my new winter quilt when done.
I noticed a Facebook friends has a Christmas tree decorated
with nothing but owls - how cool is that.  I'll be watching the
post-Xmas tree sales for another cashmere pencil tree.  This is the
same style I have by our front door.   We have a nice spot
in our dining room that needs a thin tree which we can
also see from the kitchen/living room.
I'll have to do better in picture taking to capture
the shimmer of these fabrics.
I did manage to sew together all the blocks last night.
So today I want to add the side and top borders.  My next project
is a holiday quilt for my mom.  She spotted a fabric she loved
in my past post on fabrics from 5 Bucks a Yard.com.

Today is Wilson's birthday so we are heading to the
Chart House in Annapolis for dinner.

  1. The fabric with the owls is so pretty. I can't wait to see that one when it's finished.
    Happy Birthday to Wilson
