The "Grill Master" table topper is almost done.
An easy project that came together rather quickly. The pattern
is from Missouri Star's book called Block.
It was so beautiful I took my projects out front to photograph.
I even did a completed project video.
The apron panel had sewing instructions at the bottom.
All you needed to do was turn the edges under 1/4" and
sew - this didn't sit well with me. Apron's need to be sturdy so
I upgraded the apron by adding a backing piece of fabric
to the front - made the ties double sided - added a piece
of Tula Pink's new ribbon collection to the pocket on the
front and added 2 decorative buttons at the top.
For the placemats I set the prints to the right and then made
a row of pleats [which you can't see in the pic] for the
left side. The napkins were made on my new serger.
Here you can see the other side of the apron.
I had the brilliant idea to use the hot dog fabric to make a
little weiner dog. It's adorable and the pattern can be
found free on Pinterest.
The weiner dog wasn't hard to make. What took the
most time was getting it tightly stuffed.
Well, that's a rap for "Grill Master" now I'm on to
"Another Brick in the Wall".
How nice that is and that little apron is adorable. Looks like Derby is not the least bit troubled by having another dog in the house.
