Not happy to be on the grooming table after his bath ... it takes me a long time to brush, comb and dry Derby. He has a beautiful yet dense coat.
To the groomers we shall go this week.
Derby really needs to get this coat hand-stripped so we'll be making a trek up to PA to drop them off. Wilson & I will then head to Longwood Gardens for some picture taking. I'm looking forward to walking around the outside gardens.
My little hair dryer set on warm doesn't dry them quick enough. I'm researching a few professional style dryers the kind you see in grooming salons. They are expensive but I've seen what a difference it makes in time and in the way the coat looks after using one.
Next up on the table is ... Julep!
After their baths I let them run around the house to get out that feeling of 'I don't like what you've done to me ... but I really do feel better' energy.
Smile you're finished!
Julep on the table with her head all puffed out.
Such BEAUTIFUL dogs! Thank you for your comment on Gracious Hospitality this morning. I am so happy to meet you!

Bentley needs a bath tonight too and he will be running around afterwards as well. I am looking forward to your pics of Longwood Garden. I used to visit often when we lived back east and I miss it.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Susan and Bentley
The only way I can get Maddie to agree to a bath is when I tell her that she'll be able to sleep in our room for one night. It used to be all the time until she started snoring...we just can't get a good night's sleep when she starts with those zzzzzzzzzz's!
ReplyDeleteDuke is over due for a trip to the groomers and a bath
ReplyDeleteHa! So cute!! They sure are beautiful dogs!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness what sweet furbabies!
ReplyDeleteI have just returned from a weeklong camping trip and am in the midst of a boatload of laundry. Boys know just where to find the dirtiest dirt! :)
Happy Sunday!
Let me know if you'd like to try your hand at grooming a Cavalier. I have two very willing participants. :-)
