Last night we drove back to downtown Asheville for dinner at The Bistro 1879. Wilson found Writer's Block on the wine list. We knew about Writer's Block from the St. Michaels Food & Wine Festival. The Festival invited winemaker Jed Steele from Steele Vineyards in California for a presentation and wine tasting seminar. Writer's Block was one wines offered at the seminar.
Wilson, A.J. and Bob are all published writer's.
I had them each hold the bottle while I took their photo.
The Cork on a Fork
Fried Green Tomato's with shrimp appetizer.
Today was predicted to be a yucky day with heavy rains so we decided to move our Biltmore adventure until Wednesday when the weather will hopefully clear up.
Even though we're not doing as much as we planned the scenery is awesome even with the cloud cover. This is such a beautiful area.
We're actually surprised at the amount of traffic on the highways and back roads.
Movin' Timber
While Wilson went into Harris Teeter grocery shopping I ran down the other end of the shopping center to a Bernina sewing machine and fabric store called The Asheville Cotton Company. They have the most beautiful selection of high quality fabrics I've seen. I went right to the sale section and purchased these small prints for doll clothing ... if only I had more time.
