Casey is the last grandchild who will receive her quilt next week.
I spent hours and hours working with fabrics
and trying different layout patterns.
IMHO = IN MY HUMBLE OPINION
Julep is one opinioned westie!
We Are All Frustrated!
I just couldn't find a pattern that 'felt right' with
trying to keep the black center in-tack ... so I finally gave up
and decided to cut the fabric into big blocks ... then
the layout just came together naturally as you see below.
What I learned ... simple is always better!
I had no idea when I started this would be just two
basic colors. I had several other Paris theme
pieces of fabric I wanted to work in but they
didn't fit well. Adding a bright red binding
jazzed the quilt up a little more.
The finished fruits of my labor of love.
I have big yellow buttons I'm going to sew
on the corners for fun.
Derby ... my little westie boy.
? Devil Dog ?
Just so you know I did NOT spike his fur like this.
Hope everyone was a restful weekend.
Stay warm ... stay safe.
Pawsome. Every time we pop over and see another stunning quilt I take a look at my peeps and sigh. It will be a cold day in hell before I get one of those. I keep telling peeps I want one with squirrels on it. Peeps just rolls the eyes and walks off. You are so clever. Have a super Saturday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
