Slipping away to celebrate our 16th anniversary!

 We found a last minute pet sitter for Julep & Derby and

I made last minute reservations at the Lighthouse Hotel in

Ocean City, Maryland to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary.

 Ocean City is actually a pretty straight drive from our home

but it still takes us about 2 hours to get there.

 We have stayed at this hotel many times starting

about 17 years ago!  This little gem of a lighthouse 

holds fond memories for us.

 It was a bevy of activity out there on and also in the water.

 I'll pass on this activity!

 This is an excellent restaurant but Wilson wanted to go

Ruth Chris Steakhouse which we did.

 The common area on the lower level of the Lighthouse.

 With only two levels and a limited amount of rooms

this is a very quiet adult-only type of place.

 We met friends Leslie & Stan at Ruth Chris for dinner.

They live in Ocean Pines right outside of Ocean City so

it was only natural they join us for our celebration.

 Wilson told me to put down the camera ... because he's

ready for a lump crabmeat salad and a nice big steak.

 When we came back to the Lighthouse our room was

turned down, chocolates on the bed, candles lit, and zen-type of music

playing from the TV.  It was a perfect end to a busy day.  

 Okay so I'm totally addicted to sewing.  I finished hand

sewing the binding on two quilts while there.
