Last month I did a lot of sewing for a little girl named
Grace. She is my former bosses granddaughter who lives
in New Jersey. {I only met Grace's dad once when he was 10
years old - time flies!} While I have never met Grace, I did happen
to stumble on a photo of Grace picking out her AG doll with my former
bosses wife ... and the rest {well} you already know.
The Look of Surprise
Now some asked me why on earth do you do all this
work and spend all this time on someone I don't know
and probably will never meet. My answer is pretty simple.
In this world of conflicts that range from the president to
religion and everything in between practicing a random
act of kindness will make this world a better place.
So I leave you this Christmas Day with the thought of ...
practicing a random act of kindness for someone you
don't know. It certainly doesn't need to be as elaborate as
the box I sent Grace. A simple smile to someone
you pass along the way this year could make a difference.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS
AS WE COUNTDOWN TO 2018
You have a good heart Katie. You spread love and kindness with every stitch you take. I hope you and Wilson had a very Merry Christmas
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful gift you're giving that little girl!! And it will mean so much more to her than the doll :)
ReplyDeleteLots of licks, your new friend Morrie!
