Day 5: February 14 - Valentine's Day in Belize
One of the reason's I picked the first sailing of the Smooth Jazz
Cruise was because I thought it would be special to spend
V'Day cruising. We woke up to the ship decorated with pink
and red balloons. I had added sparkle red hearts to our
cabin door. The photo [above] is mid-ship and home to the
Martini Bar [which is behind the group of balloons
you see in the distance].
The ship anchored in Belize a little before 8a.m. and a lot
of the passengers got off. By the time we got up and dressed,
had breakfast and wondered around the ship it was
time for lunch. At 2:30 there was a poolside concert with
Gerald Albright [pictured above].
Poolside Stage
The main dining room [or the Cosmopolitan Dining Room]
doubled as a venue to host events all week. You can see
just how popular these events were. Because we came in a
little late we had to sit on the second level which turned
out well for picture taking.
This was another of the 'Instruments Identified' called
'The Guitars' hosted by Marcus Miller{L} with Norman
Brown{C} and Peter White{R}.
. . .
From 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. in the Celebrity Theater was
Euge Groove & Brian Culbertson performing. We had the
second seating for dinner which turned out well for us.
11:30p.m. Candy Dulfer took over the stage in
the dining room for an hour and half show.
11:45p.m. Norman Brown put on a concert for an
hour in the Celebrity Theater called 'That's the way
loves goes' ... we didn't make either one.
