I woke up yesterday morning wanting to sew something different.
There's been a jelly roll sitting in my sewing room for over
a year that beckoned me to use it.
I unwrapped the roll and looked at all the patterns & colors.
I found a chevron pattern on YouTube that looked easy to make
but once I re-watched the video and re-assessed the strips
I decided there just wasn't enough variety of light colors.
I could have used the jelly roll to made a practice chevron top
but decided against it.
On The Design Wall
I scrapped the chevron pattern for a scrappy vertical row top.
This will be going into "Chris's Corner" for Outreach to finish.
I now have the rows sewn together, evened up, and pressed.
It's now deciding on a simple border and making the binding
then it will be on to another project.
If I left a jelly roll in my craft room for over a year, it would be very stale and very moldy...lol.
ReplyDeleteI like your kind of jelly roll. I also like the layout on your design wall
