Sunday Sewing

I had all intentions of starting the Christmas quilt kit but
somehow I got side-tracked.  That's not hard to do when it
comes to sewing.  I also forgot I was on the list for fabric
from Jennifer this month and the package came in the mail
on Thursday.  In the package came two different collections
that should be showing up in quilt stores now.  Above is one panel
from the collection called "Life's A Kick".   It's a busy collection and you'll
see what I mean when I post the finished projects.  The second collection
is called "Noah's Story" which is a children's collection.  It has some
nice blender fabrics, one panel and one soft book panel.  I
doubt if I'll make the soft book but instead make it into a quilt.
Sitting on my floor were a pile of blocks I pulled for charity quilts.
Instead of putting them back when the new fabric arrived
I quickly made them up and put the binding on for the ladies who
like to hand sew it to the back.  While this step didn't save me
a lot of time it did save me some time.
Two more for charity and the ladies who like to sew down the
bindings to the back of the quilt.
This is fabric leftovers from the last batch Jennifer sent called
"Signs From Above".  While I can't send this picture to her
since I used a competitor's fabric for the background I can
sure post it here.

In the background is fabric I have pulled for small
Xmas stockings.  So far I've completed 252 for
Outreach and will still make more.  My guest room
closet is now called "Chris's Closet" since I'm holding
all the Xmas stockings, the 202 fleece kids scarves
and all those stuffed animals I made a few months back.
. . . . . .
Sunday's Sewing Project ... to finish sewing the
"Life's A Kick" fabric collection.  So far I have one quilt top
done, one almost done, and one small tote bag from
a simple pattern I found on Pinterest.  I'm hoping
to get a few placemats and napkins out of the leftovers.
Photo's to follow soon!
