Catching Up

Derby on the Aussie Oz-Born collection.

Final pics coming soon!
Susan Q. sent me a surprise gift of a Junk Journal.
It's really cool.
I tried to take pictures by the tree but Derby wouldn't let me.
I admit I never knew about Junk Journal's.
Susan mentioned she needed a break from quilting and started
making these and now she is hooked.  She tucked in some fun
things like clips, needles, a tape measurer, etc.   If you are interested
in learning to make these go to YouTube for a lot of video's.
Susan also sent me a new tree ornament.
I've always wanted to make a Seed Packet quilt because the
fabrics are beautiful.  Free Spirit had a post on FB which
asked what was on your Christmas wish list.  I commented
a Seed Packet kit plus the keys to the fabric warehouse.
I got one of the two items I wished for which was pretty
darn cool.  This was a total surprise gift and I have my
Secret Santa Scott to thank for sending the kit.
I can't wait to start on this one!
The day before I received another box of fabric from Scott.
I put in a request for wide back fabric and he
had some at his house which I gladly accepted.
The patterns in the Jelly Filled book are large blocks
which in turn make large quilts.  Sure I could piece the
backs together but this is so much easier.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS
