From Fabric I now turn to Food!
We went to The Wardroom for lunch which was a
first. Can I say we are late in trying them out since
they've been open for years.
The wine refrigerator is a do it yourself pour.
The waiter gives you a credit card that is assigned
to your table. You insert the card, select the
ounces you want, put your glass under the
pour spout and that's all it is to it. While I didn't
try it this time I will on my next. At the end of your
meal you get the bill for the wine. I love this idea
since it allows you try different wines.
No watered down soft drinks in this place - straight
from the bottle. The glassware is pretty cool and you
can see the engraving on the bottom. Wilson thinks
it's crystal [the good stuff] but hey, what do I know!
We both loved this photo.
I had the special - a meatball sandwich which was
a little on the bland side but that's because it was
a pure sauce - no spices added.
Wilson had the shaved roast beef sandwich.
We split the dessert. I'm a baker and this was
delish and I couldn't have made it better.
The owner has an extensive collection of posters.
Without being obnoxious I took just a few photo's.
In the ladies bathroom.
Along the hallway leading to the restrooms.
In the restaurant across from our table.
I love posters and these are really nice ones.
I can't imagine what he has in his home and office.
