I've been a busy girl sewing up a storm for the past two days making lots of Bandannas for Rescued Paws. This project is worth every second of my time and I love doing it to help rescues.
Here is the fabric I found at JoAnn's today.
I can't help but think of spring because this is my favorite time of year. When I saw the pink daisy fabric I though of Julep and how cute she'll look in a bandanna out of this.
I noticed the Easter fabric was just being put out. I may have been the first person to buy the eggs and chick fabric. The black swirl fabric was another I just had to have. I knew my hand-cut glitter felt westies would really look good (okay, darn right cute!) on this.
My sister (Debby) got me hooked on this brand of thread.
More fun fabric for sewing.
It took a few hours to hand cut all the westies from glittered felt.
As you can see Derby wasn't excited about all my fabric purchases today. He was excited when I came in with the bag containing his frozen food!
Julep said if it's not food ... she's not interested.
So far I've made approximately 57 bandannas. I plan to put the word out on facebook (soon) so rescue groups and shelters can give me their 'wish list' for the bandannas they will need.
Love the Westie template! Those usually look more like Scotties. ;-)
