The Weekend

Last night we met up with friends for cocktails and dinner but it was a little warm outside to take the westies with us.  Thus, they stayed home in the a/c.
Wilson and I headed over to Foxy's in St. Michaels and while walking along the dock I spotted this boat.
 Cosmo ... anyone?

Cosmo ... all mine & I'm not sharing!
The summer heat sent folks to seek restaurants with inside seating.
 Laura & Wilson
Laura is looking through Wilson's photo book entitled Yosemite.
It is a collection of the 'best of the best' pictures he took on his five day stay there with his son.
 Cary
Cary's turn to flip through the pages.
The pictures are printed on heavy stock glossy paper which is just lovely!
 Nordic Tug
A little walk after dinner to look at the boats.
Looking across to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum.
We found Julep sound asleep when we got home & maybe a little mad at us because we went out 'again' without them.

. . . .
Saturday Night
Saturday evening we were invited to friends {Buffy & Ed} cocktail party at their beautiful waterfront estate in Royal Oak. There were two special guests from the Horn Point Laboratory {which is part of the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Sciences}.  They gave a brief talk on the restoration of the Chesapeake Bay, its dedicated researchers and the need to fund young scientists to restore and protect the Bay.
After cocktails, lite fare, and the mix & mingle with friends, Wilson & I popped into the Big Pickle on the way home for a quick dinner.
We ordered the Wyatt Burger & Pulled Pork Sandwich.
Excellence all around!

  3. Ahhh...the miffed westie when you leave them at home. Ours is accustomed to staying behind when we go out in the evening, but I think she gets a little put off for having to watch her adopted doxie sibling. He has separation anxiety but with her ignoring him big time...well it simply does not help!

  4. I am in love with that boat! Thank you so much for the bandana offer for my Cavalier rescue and ones that other foster moms have. I don't see your email address but please feel free to email me- pinkandgreenpup@gmail.com. I really appreciate your thoughtfulness. :-)
