Our Last Day In Duck, NC

Yes, Julep it's time to pack up your food bowl
and hit the road for the journey back home.
No way Mr. Derby ... your cute butt is coming
home with us!
Trying to break out the front door because
they wanted to stay in Duck ... but we
double locked the door so they couldn't open
it to freedom and an extended beach vacation.
The last Duck sunset of our vacation.
On our way out to dinner we quickly pulled off the
road to snap photo's of the sky.

Our first time dining at the Red Sky Cafe and
it was an excellent surprise.

Wilson is saying to me ... will you please put
the camera away and lets have dinner.
I reminded him that ... 'HE' is the one who decided
to buy me a 'big girl' camera ... so there!

We were fortunate to have a week of
perfect weather, nice walks, relaxing at the house,
and not cooking a meal once the entire vacation.
Until next year ...

  1. I don't blame Julep and Derby for wanting to stay longer. That sunset is gorgeous. At least Wilson asked you nicely to put the camera away, you should hear the threats I get from

  2. With those beautiful pictures painting the scene, I wouldn't want to leave either!

  3. We are so glad you had such a good vacation. Have a great Tuesday.
    Best wishes Molly

  4. We sure wouldn't want to leave either!! Julep and Derby have the right idea!! In all of our travels, we have never been to the Outer Banks...and my sister even lived right near Wilmington for a brief period of time. Hopefully, someday we will be able to enjoy those Duck Sunsets! Looks like you had a wonderful time. Have a safe trip home!
