HAPPY TURKEY DAY TO YOU!

The Turkey Shot Out Of The Oven

The turkey shot out of the oven
 and rocketed into the air,

it knocked every plate off the table

and partly demolished a chair.

It ricocheted into a corner
and burst with a deafening boom,

then splattered all over the kitchen,

completely obscuring the room.

It stuck to the walls and the windows,

it totally coated the floor,

there was turkey attached to the ceiling,

where there's never been turkey before.

It blanketed every appliance,

it smeared every saucer and bowl,

there wasn't a way I could stop it,

that turkey was out of control.

I scraped and I scrubbed with displeasure,

and thought with chagrin as I mopped,

that I'd never again stuff a turkey
 with popcorn
 that hadn't been popped.
This turkey was a little fast for us to catch
so we went and purchased a frozen one.
We know that one won't get away!
 Good girl, Julep!
Yes, I've been so busy around the house.
I completed taking photo's of Caroline Abbott's
auction package which is schedule to appear on Ebay Friday.
She will be listed for 10 days with a starting bid of $200.00.
That's a real deal but I'm hoping the
Westie Foundation of America will
get more for her and all her clothing than that.
Every Little Girls Dream ... an American Girl
with clothing for all the seasons.
I spent about 6 hours pressing every single
piece of clothing yesterday.
Then I placed tissue paper inside all the clothing
to help prevent extra wrinkles during shipping.
I then wrapped all the clothing in tissue paper
bundles and tied with ribbon.
These are just a few of my favorite outfits.
To see everything and the itemized list of items
please visit my sewing blog at:
I will receive the Ebay link on Friday so I will post then.
Please pass this auction info to family and friends.
NOTE:  All proceeds from this auction goes directly to
the Westie Foundation of America [a non-profit].
