Double Trouble = Katie & Debby Fabric Shopping

It was a last minute decision for Deb & I to go to the Amish
Country fabric shopping on Saturday.
That was partly due to warm weather and the e-mail from
Sauder's announcing a sale ... so off we went leaving
her house at 6:00 in the m-o-r-n-i-n-g!
 Mooooooooo Tooooooooooo Youuuuuuuuu!

From Debby's house we take all back roads which is
really a pleasant drive. I only spotted two horse & buggies.
 Our 1st Stop
They have lumber carts {like you use in Home Depot
or Lowe's} to stack your bolts of fabric on.
Deb & I almost filled one to to the top!
 Our 2nd Stop
Still my personal favorite fabric store.
They have normal grocery carts and
Deb & I filled our carts so we needed to
have our fabric cut to make more room!
We did manage to filled the carts for the second time.
What fun we had!
Rows of fabric bolts ... oh, so much fun!

It was an extremely long day - getting up at 5:30a.m. -
fabric shopping - going back to Deb's - then driving home.
I was exhausted but home by 6:00p.m.
Derby ... the sniffer checking out the purchases.
Hey Julep ... they don't sell doggie treats in fabric stores.

Fabric From This Trip
...
Another quilt project is to make a chicken/rooster lap quilt for
my ex-boss & his wife who moved from California to Kansas.
 Nautical Fabric
Deb & I both fell in love with the tiny anchor fabric
which are the two on the left side of the photo.
 My Personal Favorites
I may not use these I love them so much!
Quilt Labels are hard to find so when I see them I buy a panel.
Another panel to save until I can figure out
what to do with it.

This fabric will be used to make quilts for Daisy & Casey.

This fabric will be used to make quilts for the 3 boys.

You're looking at $200.00 in fabric which was cash
my parents gave me as a Christmas present.
I want to thank them for supporting me and my
addiction to fabric shopping.  Deb & I had
such a good time ... our next trip to PA
will be in spring to the Old Country Store.
