When Julep was little we taught her how to ring a set of
Poochie Bells which we hung from the door knobs when she needed
to go out. This concept has a plus and a minus side.
Meaning they ring the bells ANYTIME they want outside
{not just to do their business}. Derby learned this quickly
from Julep. Next house - doggie doors!
Dorene {the lady who grooms J&D} gave me a bunch of vintage
fabric. This included the children w/Scottie dog fabric as seen
above. Never in a million years did I think I would be returning
the fabric to her in a baby quilt. Her daughter is having a baby
at the end of May. The sex is still unknown so I did generic colors.
The back fabric ... Both Dorene and her daughter are big in the
'show world' so it was only fitting I use this fabric for the back
because it has little stuffed doggies on it.
I'm personally glad Old Phil saw his shadow because I have
a very long production list of things to make!
Be safe & take care, Katie
No doggy bells here as it would drive peeps mad as I pull on it to go for a cat chase too often. Have a wonderful Wednesday.

I tried the bell thing with Duke and couldn't get him to catch on. More my fault since I didn't have the patience to keep trying.
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt, so cute
The bell sound much interesting then the doggy door. I have 6 more weeks of making doll clothes too. Then back to work.
