Ducks, Fabric & Westies, Oh My!

It's been raining all day so the ducks are in heaven.
They found a nice spot in our soggy yard to rest.
Our newly planted Kousa dogwood has flowers.  I know you
can't see them now but they will get larger & turn white soon.
One pot planted and in position on our front porch.  I have
another pot that needs plants.  I also placed an order for 6 plants
that we could not find locally from the Kigi Nursery which
is south of Seattle, WA.  One plant is a Thunderhead Pine
which we had two of in Bozman by the pool.  Since this was mail order
I didn't buy large plants [shipping cost is a killer] but ordered
one and two year old plants.  They will be tiny but they will grow.
My dad was in John Hopkins Hospital for a few days and
is now home and doing okay.  His nurse was wonderful and
in appreciation I wanted to send her a quilt.  I made this set of
cases to go with the quilt [previously done] which I mailed today.
Pressed and ready to be cut.
I picked up two quilt kits from the Guild's Outreach portion
while I was at the meeting last week.  I have the fabric
ready to be measured and cut.  I'd like to have them sewn and
ready to give back to Outreach by the June meeting.
Both selections will make nice quilts.  I'll post a
photo when I have them pieced together.

So what do you do while it's raining on vacation?
You shop for fabric, of course!
 Julep
I need more kid-type of fabric.
I think I ordered this from Connecting Threads.
My usual order on sale fabric is two [2] yards/piece.
More than likely this will be used for the back of quilts.

Well, I think this is it for today.
Have a good one and thanks for stopping by
my blog for a quick visit, Katie
