Finally Finished

I finally broke down and made myself finish the bindings on all
those completed quilts that were occupying space on my table.
It's amazing what a little white block does.  It really
helps soothes the multi-colors of the Kaffe Fassett fabric.
I also feel in love with the border fabric on this
quilt.  It's from the Robert Kaufman's Sparkle series.
When I went to order more it was sold out [rats!]
so I ordered what was left of the collection that
was still on sale.  This fabric will be in shipment #2
which left the eQuilter warehouse today.  I'm still waiting
on fabric shipment #3 from Hancock of Paducah.
This is Daisy's quilt.  Since she's such a tall girl
I made this a little longer.
This fabric is designed by Kaffe Fassett.
With the leftovers from Daisy's quilt I made this
'scrappy' one.  The person who gets this has to
like wild and bright.
The back fabric is more relaxed.
This quilt is also made with leftovers from
another quilting project.
I really like the back fabric and until I laid it out I
had no idea it's an Amy Butler fabric.  She's another
wonderful fabric designer.  She is one of the top selling quilting
and home sewing fabric designers and is considered within the
business as a 'celebrity fabric designer' similar to Kaffe Fassett.
I'm starting Xmas quilts for our neighbors grand daughters.
It's a simple pattern for the girls since they are very young and
at the age that one whats what the other has ... so thus, two
identical quilts.  I may change up the back material just a little.
This is the process I go through when starting a new quilt.  I cut
pieces then lay them out on the floor.  Let's see if I can get this
sewn together before the westies come running through.
Well, that's it for today.  Thanks for popping in
and have a good one.
