The Halloween candy was ready for the neighborhood
kids which was a total of 7. This is more than last year and I
expect next Halloween we will have 4 more kids due to 2 new
couples moving into our neighborhood. Wilson and I
met both young couples while walking the dogs - one
couple as 2 girls and the other has 2 boys.
Last week I pulled out our orange and purple Halloween
lights for the front porch. Today I'll be taking those lights
down and pulling out the holiday garland with white
lights for Xmas. I want them up before the weather
gets cold plus it's a nice thing to cross off the to-do list.
Last year I just threw these mums in the ground without
care and here they are this year.
We keep toying with the idea of adding some landscaping
along the walk way since it looks so plain.
The westies didn't like the fact they couldn't get to the
front door but it did save us from fighting with them
when the kids came for candy.
We finally finished the front TV room with curtains
we found at Country Curtains. I did order valances for the
guest bedroom, guest bathroom and Wilson's office.
... and the door bell rings!
Hi, Happy November to you! We had about 40 kiddos and still had candy left over, so it's going to the grands house today. I kept Hunter by my side and he didn't bark-which was really a good thing. We call him our doorbell, because when people come up the walk he always announces them. Hubby gave out the candy. Our town has a trick or treat festival at our Rec Center, so I'm thinking many go to that.
