When you're watching TV and you hear drip drip drip
it's never a good sign, is it? We knew that eventually our
roof would need replacing but didn't think it would be this
soon. Hopefully, we will be getting a roof 'patch' tomorrow
until the roofers can schedule us in.
This rainy weather is relentless and what started as one drip
mark is now three! Now on to more fun things like quilting.
I love this simple pattern because it shows off the entire
line of fabric perfectly. This was made using a jelly roll.
In the mail and on the way to my mom's doctor who is
headed down the road to retirement. He's moving to the
Boston area so hopefully this will keep him warm.
The back fabric is printed tree branches.
This fabric is so pretty and elegant and is also made using
a jelly roll. My mom will be giving this to her current doctor
who is relocating out of the area. I hope she likes it.
The back is as elegant as the front.

Rain rain go away ... that's it for today.
Oh no on the drip. We had our roof replaced a couple years ago. Until it was done I was so nervous every time it rained or was really windy. I was amazed that they didn't find any water damage when they did it. I do have water spots on the ceiling in one closet though.
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday Katie, Hearing your story of the drip-drip sounds so familiar. In fact, it made me think you have a similar climate to ours. Last week was so gorgeous, then Thursday it started to rain. Last night our daughter called to tell us two of their windows are leaking(we had such heavy rain and we own the house). They got it stopped and we went over today, thankfully it wasn't that bad. The drain holes in the window sashing were clogged, so they are clean now-don't want to replace any windows. With all the hail we get, insurance has skyrocketed.
ReplyDeleteNow, on to your quilts-great pattern for such great fabric. I spent yesterday pieces a border and hand quilting; today I've been working on hand quilting while watching t.v. Hope you have a great weekend and that your rain lets us with no further problems.
Hugs,
Noreen
