It was an uneventful drive from St. Michaels to Duck in the Outer Banks.
We arrived just in time to unpack the car, get the dogs situated and
watch the sunset with a glass of wine.
On our drive we noticed several large cotton fields that looked
ready to be picked.
Sorry for the blurry photo but we weren't stopping.
This rental is on the sound side of duck. We can walk into
town in about a minute!
We rented on the sound side in the past. Actually our previous rental
is about 6 houses down from this one.
We have part of the deck secure for the westies to go out
when they want.
The wind surfer started a Sunday morning bark-fest.
I know he has a wet suit on but the air and water are cold
so I'm guessing the wind was to good to pass up.
Julep watching the wind surfer from the comfort of inside.
Clear water and low tide.
We love this house and have stayed in two other rentals by
the same owner. She spares no expense in re-designing
the interiors. Here is the dinning area.
. . .
This house also has an elevator between floors which I must
have missed when reading the rental description. Having
an elevator makes it so much easier on the knees.
Wilson was extremely happy about this fact and
the dogs are getting use to getting in it since the
steps do not have carpet and are slippery.
Part of the kitchen. There is even a built-in
espresso and cappuccino station which is that black
area you see between the cabinets on the left.
I'll take more photo's later.
Right now Wilson and I are parked on the long farm house table
in the breakfast area. The westies are sleeping on the bench
seating that runs long the windows looking out onto the sound.
That looks like a really nice house your renting. Love the picture of the sunset. Enjoy your vacation.
