Started from seed last spring ... my Lupine's!
These bloom in the second year of growth.
While I will deadhead some of the flowers when they die
off [to encourage a few more blooms] I will leave
one or two flowers heads to dry on the plant to
give me more Lupine seeds.
There is a lighter shade of purple just starting to open.
I've been babying these little plants from the very
beginning. It's nice to see the flowers of my labor
finally open up ... I love Lupine's!
Very pretty! We have lupines here too - bluebonnets!
