Our bags are almost packed and the dog stuff which takes up
most of the room is almost packed ... so technically we're ready to go!
It's an easy drive from the eastern shore of Maryland to the
Outer Banks of North Carolina. Of course we could cut the
driving time if we didn't have to stop for the westies!
They love our vacations in Duck. This has been our
yearly car trip for several years in a row now.
Julep ... every day is a vacation day for you!
The cool thing about going to Duck in October is the town is
decorated for fall and Halloween. I also noticed our little town
of St. Michaels is starting to get decorated also ... so I'll take
pictures of our town when we get back.
The town of Duck built an extended boardwalk around the
sound side of the town. It's a nice walk and a good place to snap pictures.
In the Duck town park there are many a good sniff.
We don't make any plans while we're on vacation. We sort
of take one day at a time ... sipping morning coffee, taking pictures,
going out to lunch, and just riding around to check out the area.
This was our view from one of our rental homes on the
sound side of Duck ... our rental home on this trip is on
the ocean side of Duck. Both have their advantages.
A typical evening sunset with the westies on guard duty.
Have a great day ... better finish packing!
