All You Need is Love ... and A Dog by Henry Glass

Yesterday I started working with the collection
All You Need is Love ... and a Dog
from Henry Glass
which will be shipping out to quilt stores in March.
I have to admit it's super-fun to have fabric before
everyone else gets it.
Cutting up one of the panels to make 6-1/2" blocks.
While not completely sewn together this layout
is the one I finally decided on worked.
On to working with the second panel.
The blocks on the bottom were originally going on both
sides of the panel.  It just didn't work so I swapped
them out for what you see now.
It did take some figuring on paper to determine the
size of blocks that would fit the exact length of the panel.
The quilt layouts are my design.
While designing is time consuming [and not to
mention challenging] it's more fun then working
with a pattern designed by others.
At this point both quilt tops are ready to be quilted and
finished.  They will be donated to a westie fundraiser
at some point along the way.
