Today the stone for the back garden wall was delivered.
The guys packed down [what I think is] stone dust.
Here is Mario doing his magic stacking the stone.
This is truly back breaking work. Mario felt the wall should
be 9" tall and we agreed.
The front of the wall is done but Mario ran out of stone on
a small portion of the back wall. He needs to pick up
a half pallet of stone to complete the job.
What I love ... this simple stacked stone wall looks very natural.
I went out to take more pictures of the wall I was
surprised to see the baby geese in the yard.
We call her speckle neck and she was here last year
as well. Seems she likes our pond and our back yard.
She had 7 babies last year and I counted 7 this year.
As the happy little geese family waddle off toward the pond.
That stone wall looks fantastic. Mario does excellent work.
ReplyDeleteSpeckle neck is a great name for that goose. Cute little babies. What do the westies think about them?
